The winter of 2024-25 was very different to the previous winter. The endless heavy rain and subsequent flooding was much less pronounced. The River Brett water meadows did flood a couple of times but the clay-heavy fields on the higher local ground were not water-logged like before. The river’s health continues to be a great concern.
