San Juan Mountains, Colorado 2024
In early autumn 2024 I spent six days high in the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. They are a spur of the Rockies and reach up to 14,000 feet. I explored the mountainsides, passes and valleys of the area. Most minor roads are unpaved but in good condition and snake their way up into the heavily wooded wilderness of areas like the Uncompahgre National Forest.
